Printer Agent Information

Enable Auditing
Click the check box to enable auditing for this printer agent. Auditing tracks who printed how many pages to an audit-enabled printer agent. The information is stored in a log file that you can access from the Auditing link on the Advanced iPrint Manager page.

Printer Description
(Optional) Type descriptive information about the characteristics of a WalkUp printer. For example, Color Laser Printer.

Note: The LPR Enabled, Require SSL, Printer Location, Gateway Autoload Command, and Accouting Autoload Command options are not available on an iPrint Appliance for WalkUp printers.

LPR Enabled
LPR protocol allows submitting print jobs to a remote printer. Select this check-box to enable LPR, in order to allow the printer to accept print jobs from LPR/LPD clients.

Require SSL
If you want users to authenticate and identify themselves and the print data to be encrypted, click Require SSL.

Printer Location
Enter a printer location that will help you and users find this printer.

Gateway Autoload Command
If you need to make changes to the Gateway Autoload Command, such as changing the ip address for the printer, you can edit the information here. After saving any changes to the Gateway Autoload Command, you must restart the Printer Agent.

Accounting Autoload Command
The Accounting Autoload Command allows programs to account, control, and limit print jobs. When using a third party accounting software for jobs submitted to this Printer Agent, enter the details here as mentioned in the Accounting Product documentation.
