Join this Node to an Existing CIS Cluster

Choose this option to configure additional CIS nodes in the Novell Cluster Service (NCS).

Prerequisite

  • Before you start the configuration, ensure to copy the certificates from /etc/opt/novell/cis/certs on the first node to this server.

Procedure

  1. On the deployment options page, click Show advanced deployment options, select the Add CIS as a Node to an Existing Cluster deployment type and then click Next.

  2. Infrastructure Service Host name / IP Address: Specify the host name or IP address of all the configured Infrastructure server HA nodes. Separate multiple entries with a comma and then click Get Details.

    After successful verification, the database information is displayed. Specify the database password.

  3. Gateway Server Address: Specify the virtual IP address of the cluster resource where the CIS server is part of.

  4. Admin Context: Includes the following:

    1. CIS Admin Name with Context: Specify the LDAP distinguished name (DN) of the user who administers the CIS server. For example, cn=admin,o=acme.

    2. Admin Password: Specify the password for the CIS administrator.

    3. CIS Server Context: Specify the LDAP distinguished name (DN) of the container object under which the NCP server objects of the OES server resides that connects to the CIS server. The OES server includes the agents that connects to the CIS server. The CIS admin user must have supervisory rights on this server context.

  5. Click Next. Review the configuration summary and then click Finish.
